A fun beginner league for adults 16 and over with less than 1 year's experience. This league requires no experience necessary to sign up to register.
This league involves teaching the basic skills of curling within a 40 minute window, followed by mini games to develop knowledge of the game and each position. We recommend taking our Learn to Curl Clinic date tba prior to registering for the Novice League to experience the fun and basic elements of the game. This league starts January 14th at 11:45 am, and is every Saturday (note no play on long weekends or club events/bonspiels).
Each Player is required to pay $35 membership fee, $30 Facility Improvement Fee, $18 Curl BC & $2 Curl Canada Fees in addition to their league fees. These fees are only collected once if playing in another league at Marpole Curling Club.
What to bring? A pair of clean-soled indoor shoes (e.g., runners) is necessary for use on the ice. Loose fitting pants and a layered top is recommended. Rental equipment ( brooms, grippers $ 2 per use) and sliders are available or check out the cool stuff in our pro shop!
